Billing and trial terms

This page exists so that nothing about the money is a surprise. If anything here is unclear, mail hello@bnlgit.com before you subscribe rather than after.

The offer

A card is required at signup and is charged automatically when the trial ends. We are stating that plainly rather than burying it, because a trial that quietly becomes a subscription is the thing people most reasonably resent.

You will be told the exact amount and the exact date of your first charge in your welcome email, at the moment you sign up.

Why a card up front

Registration on the forge is closed — the only way an account gets created is through checkout. That is a deliberate abuse-control decision on a service that will run other people's code analysis against other people's provider keys. It means there is no open registration surface at all.

What you are paying for

You are paying for the hosted BNLGit service: the forge, the summary mirror machinery, the managed worker, MCP, search, and support.

You are not paying us for model usage. BNLGit is bring-your-own-key. Summary generation, bake-offs and cleanup analysis all spend on your provider account, under the ceilings described in Managed worker and spend controls. We never mark up, resell, or bill you for LLM tokens, and we never spend a key of ours on your behalf.

That means your total cost of running BNLGit is our subscription plus whatever your own provider charges you. Budget for both.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from your billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

Cancelling does not delete your repositories. Your source repositories and your .llm mirrors are Git repositories; clone them out at any point, before or after. After cancellation we retain your data for 30 days so that you can export it or change your mind, then it is removed.

Deletion after that retention window is confirmed by a human before it runs. Nothing is purged automatically on a timer.

If a payment fails

We do not cut you off the moment a card bounces.

Suspension is a gate on new operations, not a kill switch. Because authorisation happens per request, an in-flight push completes and the next operation is refused. We are not going to interrupt a transfer halfway and corrupt your working tree in order to make a billing point.

A suspended account's repositories are untouched. Suspension is about access, never about data.

What the credits are spent on

Your plan fee buys a monthly pot of credits. One credit is one US cent. Two meters draw it down:

Plan credits are granted monthly and expire at the end of the month. Top-up credits do not expire. Debits are FIFO, expiring credits first.

If you exhaust the allowance, the workspace becomes read-only until you top up or the next monthly grant lands — cloning, browsing and export keep working, and nothing is deleted. We never charge past your plan fee without you buying credits first.

Tax

prices in US dollars. Any tax that applies in your jurisdiction is calculated and shown at checkout before you confirm, and is never added to a renewal without notice.

Refunds

If BNLGit does not do what these documentation pages say it does, mail hello@bnlgit.com and we will refund you. We would rather give the money back than argue about whether a page oversold.
